Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a list of frequently asked questions about Project Patriarchy.
Q: What is Project Patriarchy?
Project Patriarchy is a nonpartisan political youth organization striving to encourage youth and young adults into politics by creating ways for the average teen to get involved.
Q: Why are we called “Project Patriarchy”?
In a “patriarchy” specific groups are often restricted from getting involved, such as youth and young adults. Here at Project Patriarchy we work to combat that disparity, hence the name!
Q: Are any of the positions you offer paid?
Unfortunately, none of the positions we offer are paid. However, we do offer service hours as well as other non-fiscal benefits!
Q: Are you affiliated with any specific political party?
Since we are a nonpartisan organization, we are not affiliated with any political party.

Q: I am not a (insert political party), am I still allowed to apply?
Absolutely! We have members from all over the political spectrum and welcome all political views!
EX: I am not a democrat, am I still allowed to apply?

Q: I don't live in the U.S, can I still apply?
Absolutely! Project Patriarchy is actually a global organization with members in over 15 countries.

Q: How long will it take to hear a decision regarding my application?
If you have been accepted, you will be getting an email by the following week after your submission. If you have not received an email 2 weeks following your submission (at the latest) unfortunately you have not been accepted into the organization. However, you are welcome to reapply!
Q: If I were to apply, what would I be doing if I get accepted?
Since we have roughly 20 positions available, what you would be doing would depend on which position(s) you are interested in. For more info on each position as well as the links to our member application, you can click the link in our bio or check out projectpatriarchy.carrd.co.

There is no deadline!

There is no age limit, however, we currently have members ranging from 13 to 26. If you do not fall under this age range, you are still more than welcome (and encouraged!) to apply.
